As you know, I gave up dairy a few weeks ago. However, I made this prior to that. And of course, after finals and study abroad, I’ll have to start working on some desserts that are dairy free. In the meantime, if you still eat dairy, enjoy!

I would like to say that essentially any type of mousse can be made with whipping cream, cream cheese and jello. Your imagination is your only limitation. But this is what I’m having for dessert.

  • 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pkg. orange jello
  • 1 1/2 c. whipping cream
  • 1 c. cocoa mix
  • 1 c. prange juice
  • 1 T. orange extract
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  1. Put mixing bowl in freezer for about an hour.
  2. In a smaller mixing bowl empty box of jello and add boiling water. Add juice.
  3. In cold mixing bowl add cream cheese, cocoa mix, whipping cream, and extract. Blend on high. Will be very thick.
  4. When they are almost melted add jello mix to cream cheese mix. Blend on high about five minutes.
  5. Put in refrigerator 3-4 hours until it sets.
