2013-01-28 07.14.52I recently purchased a dehydrator and I am in LOVE!!! I am making so many fun things. This past week I made nutty crackers that are GF and cooked low enough to be considered raw. Woo hoo! I am moving up in the foodie world!

  • 1/2 c. cashews
  • 1/2 c. brazil nuts
  • 1 c. flax seed
  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl.

After it’s been in the dehydrator an hour or so.

  2. Cover with water.
  3. Soak the ingredients for several hours or overnight.
  4. Process in a food processor. Add another cup of water or two.
  5. Empty out of the food processor and add 1-2 cups more water. You want this to be not quite runny, like a thinnish pudding.
  6. Put on parchment paper or on dehydrator sheets that you have purchased.
  7. Dehydrate for about an hour on 115 and then turn it down to 105.
  8. After 3-4 hours score or cut (depending upon dryness) the crackers.
  9. Continue dehydrating another 8-12 hours. Check every couple of hours. When they are almost completely dried out break along score lines.
  10. Lay on the mesh sheets and dry some more. They need to be completely dried out so that they can store for several weeks.
