Austin, Austin Texas, corn, mom apple pid, Texas, Tito's, Tito's vodka, vodka
I have declared Fridays my official booze day. Yes, since much of the country is getting ready for the weekend, and those of us who suffer from a gluten intolerance are no exception, I’ve decided I will dedicate every Friday (or until I get bored) with booze. How to make it, how to drink it – oh wait, most people have no trouble with drinking it.
It was an easy decision on what to write about for week no. 1. My friend, Ashley Evans Mattocks wrote about it on FB. She had just moved from one state to another and was excited to find it in a more rural state. She even put a picture up. So I wrote her and asked if it was GF. She looked it up for me and confirmed that it was. So, the next time I went to a liquor store, voila! There it was. But wait, it said GF but was it really? Even though the bottle says gluten free, I of course did not believe it. I am the Gluten Nazi and if there is any doubt I veto it. So I checked Tito’s Web site.Yes, it is GF. So then, I bought it.
Tito’s Vodka is made in American. Like Mom, apple pie and vodka. It’s made in good ‘ol Austin, Texas, You can now find it in all 50 states. And it’s good. It’s made by hand, and it’s smoo-oo-ooth. The price is even reasonable for vodka.
They say:
“How is Tito’s gluten-free?
Tito’s is made from 100% corn and as a distilled spirit, is completely gluten-free. Some producers add a little bit of mash back into the spirit after distillation, which would add gluten content into an otherwise gluten-free distillate (if using wheat as the base), but I don’t do that regardless. It’s an important thing for us, and we actually include “GLUTEN-FREE” in lots of our materials and on the website so people can make informed choices. But, I am a vodka man, not a doctor, so if you have more questions or concerns, you should definitely talk to your doctor about it!”
So there you have it. Exceptional vodka made in America for your weekend. Cheers.
Calories: 60 calories per ounce.
Note: not only does Tito’s Vodka make awesome vodka right here in the U.S.A. but they also rescue dogs. They must be the best vodka ever.

The question is “Is Tito’s GMO free?” I’d like to know the answer, too. Although I think I already do, & it’s not what I want to hear. Given how they’re aggressively marketing that it’s GF, but say nothing about GMOs.

You’re right, I misread the question. No, I do not think it is GMO free. It is hard to find GMO free alcohol. Here are a few articles I found on it. I have also included articled on countries that ban GMOs. Essentially the only way not to drink GMO alcohol is to buy alcohol from these countries.
